I wrote my first song when I was about fifteen years old. I
am so glad I can’t remember it and glad no one will ever hear it! As a young aspiring musician/writer in
1976 I formed Steve Wariner Music with four cuts recorded by legendary entertainer
Bob Luman for his album Alive and Well. I soon found myself in the studio with
Bob and his producer Johnny Cash. My next cut was by none other than Conway
Twitty. What memories!
It seems then all through the 80’s, I selfishly wrote just
for me, as I had a string of hits written by myself or co-written with some of
the best writers in the world. Then starting in the 90’s I was fortunate enough
to have had my songs recorded by Alabama, Clint Black, Garth Brooks, Diamond
Rio, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, and Bryan White just to name a few.
Today Steve Wariner Music is still going strong and home to
everything I have written since 1976. Welcome into my writing world; the
archives of my musical life. They say it all starts with a song. I am sure
there is one here just for you.
